Over a hundred talented young scientists from 32 different countries have been selected to participate in the 24th edition of the FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF), taking place in Sapanca, Türkiye, on 2–5 July 2025, just before and in conjunction with the 49th FEBS Congress in Istanbul.
Since 2001, FEBS has funded the Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF) as a pre-congress event to foster interactions among PhD students and early-career postdoctoral researchers from FEBS Constituent Societies. This year, 104 participants were selected from over 350 applications. The YSF 2025 will take place in the beautiful region of Sapanca, Türkiye, from 2–5 July. Following the forum, participants will join the 49th FEBS Congress in Istanbul, gaining exposure to a much larger scientific event.
The award covers registration fees and accommodation for both the YSF and the FEBS Congress, and most travel expenses. More than just a prelude to the main congress, the YSF is a unique event for young scientists to present their research, exchange ideas, and build lasting connections with peers and mentors. The YSF 2025 program is designed specifically for early-career researchers, featuring keynote lectures, career development workshops, poster sessions, short and flash talks by participants, and an engaging social program.
