The first call for proposals for FEBS-supported Society education events to take place in 2025 is now open. This year, the FEBS Education and Training Committee is particularly encouraging events that address the topics of ‘AI and Machine Learning in Molecular Life Sciences: Tools, Ethics, and Education’, and of ‘Skills for Industry 4.0: Preparing Life Science Students for the Biotech Revolution’, although proposals on other educational topics in molecular life sciences are equally welcome.
FEBS offers financial support of up to €2000 for in-person educational events and up to €750 for online formats. These events can take various forms, from dedicated workshops to educational sessions at Society congresses, focusing on innovative teaching methods, professional skills development, or emerging topics in molecular life sciences education.
There will be two calls for 2025 events and the first deadline is 15 December 2024 (for events that will take place January–June 2025). The second deadline will be 15 June 2025 (for events that will take place July–December 2025). The funding is available to all members of FEBS Constituent Societies, and we particularly welcome innovative approaches to education and training that can benefit our wider community.
Applications for this funding must be made to the FEBS Education and Training Committee via this application form. Contact Prof. Ferhan G. Sağin, Chair, FEBS Education and Training Committee, via the Contact section of the website, for initial expressions of interest or any questions.
